A constant desire/struggle of all website owners is how to get more traffic to your site. We all want to have a constant and high-level stream of engaged visitors coming to our site and hungry for our new content and product offerings.
There are many ways to get traffic to your site but I prefer organic (i.e. free) traffic that is delivered via the search engines and social media.
Search engine marketing has changed over the recent couple of years and this actually makes it easier for the likes of you and I, who are producing high value content, rather than spammy low-value, thin content info to rank well, IF we re consistent in our efforts (and patient in seeing results).
We just have to ensure we’re doing it right. Check out my “4 Rules of SEO” infographic for how to do SEO the right way, since Google’s Panda & Penguin algorithm updates, which changed the SEO game somewhat.
Social media marketing is now more important than ever – Google looks at social factors as major indicators of how relevant/good your site is and adjusts your rankings accordingly. Check out Daniel Tan’s very useful article on the importance of social signals here.
